Fandom etiquette팬덤 에티켓

Korean concert halls and music-show tapings run on shared rules, not “whoever is loudest.” This page is for first-time international fans. It is not a ranking of fandoms.

Concerts

• Lightstick only for that act. Bringing another group’s stick into a dedicated concert is widely seen as rude. Official Bluetooth sync (when offered) beats a random color.
• Sit when the hall sits. Standing in an all-seated ticketing block blocks sightlines. Floor GA is the place to jump.
• Fanchants have a volume. Learn the official chant; do not scream over a live vocal run the whole song.
• No professional cameras unless the ticket says so. Phone video is usually tolerated; iPads and long lenses often are not.
• Freebies stay in the bag until after. Throwing objects on stage is how people get ejected — and how idols get hurt.

Music shows & fansigns

• Arrive with the exact ID used to buy the ticket. Korean venues check it.
• Do not hold a slogan so high that the row behind you films a rectangle.
• Fansign talk is seconds, not a therapy session. A short written note in Korean or English is kinder than a ramble.

Online

Streaming and voting have their own manners — see streaming etiquette. Do not raid a tag with hate; Korean platforms and Weverse mods will mute you, and it does not help the charts.
