Half-moon Chuseok rice cakes — pine needles if you have them, a steamer if you do not.

Pinch, steam, oil
Knead wet rice flour, wrap a little sweet sesame or red bean, pinch into a half-moon. Steam on pine needles (or parchment), brush sesame oil. Ugly songpyeon are a folk joke about the maker’s future children — make them anyway.
