🧺 Markets: eat first, shop second

A traditional market is a working wholesale/retail mash-up, not a food court with extra neon. Keep moving, point at what you want, and carry small bills.

Gwangjang (Seoul): bindaetteok, mayak gimbap, second-floor textiles. Go hungry, not on a strict schedule.
Jagalchi (Busan): fish you may not recognize. Agree price before they clean it if you are buying whole fish. Morning is livelier.
Namdaemun / Dongdaemun: clothes and accessories in bulk. Sizes run small. ATM at the edges. Cash.
Etiquette: do not touch every fruit. Sample when offered. Pack bones on the plate, not the floor. Food districts.

Some halls close one weekday. Monday can be sleepy.
