πŸ”Œ Plugs: 220V, Type F

Korea uses the same physical plug family as much of Europe (Type F / Schuko-style two round pins), at 220V 60Hz. US 110V appliances need a converter, not just a dummy adaptor, unless they are dual-voltage.

Buy a Type F adaptor before you fly; ICN shops sell them at a markup. Korean nickname: 돼지코 (β€œpig nose”).
Phones, laptops, camera chargers are almost all 100–240V. Hair tools from North America often are not.
USB wall sockets appear in newer hotels. Bring a small power strip with a Type F head if you have many devices β€” check hotel rules; cheap no-name strips can trip breakers.
Trains and cafes: KTX seats have outlets. Palace days: battery pack.
