Day trip

🪖 DMZ as a day trip

The DMZ is a military area with civilian tour corridors. You generally cannot drive up and stroll. Book a tour that includes passport checks and the sites you actually want (Third Tunnel, Dora Observatory, etc.).

Passport required on most itineraries. A digital photo of the bio page is not always enough. No passport, no boarding the tour bus.
Clothes: no political slogans, no military-look costumes. Follow the guide at viewpoints; photography rules change by stop.
Time: expect a full day with traffic. Not a casual half-morning. Combine with other day trips on a different date.
Cancellation: joint security events can close sites with little notice. Book a vendor with a clear weather/military cancellation policy.

This is a truce line, not a theme park. Keep voices down at observatories.
