🚆 AREX: the rail that actually leaves ICN

AREX is the default answer to “how do I leave Incheon without a taxi.” Express skips stations; all-stop is cheaper and still faster than sitting in Gimpo traffic.

Buy in the arrivals hall or on the Korail app. Keep your passport handy. Express needs a reserved seat in peak periods.
Express to Seoul Station ~43 minutes. All-stop ~60 minutes but more frequent and cheaper. Change to Line 1/4 at Seoul Station.
Luggage racks exist; do not block doors at Hongik Univ. For Gangnam, all-stop + Line 2 from Hongik is often simpler than Seoul Station.
