Family words

형/오빠, 누나/언니 — siblings depend on the speaker’s gender.

Two words for every sibling

A male speaker calls an older brother and older sister 누나. A female speaker uses 오빠 and 언니. Younger sibling is 동생 for both. These words also extend to close friends — that is social, not genealogy.
