ㄷ, ㅂ, 르, and 으-drop — the four patterns you meet in every café sentence.
Not chaos — four families
Korean “irregulars” are regular once you name the family. ㄷ verbs like 걷다 become 걸어요 before a vowel. ㅂ verbs like 춥다 become 추워요. 르 verbs add a ㄹ: 모르다 → 몰라요. Many stems drop 으 when the ending starts with a vowel: 쓰다 → 써요.
Memorize the dictionary form, then one 해요체 form. Do not invent a fifth family on day one.
