Spacing and periods

Why 먹을까요 looks glued, and where Korean actually puts spaces.

Particles stick

Particles attach to the noun: 학교에 is one visual word. Endings attach to the verb: 가고 싶어요 is two. Beginners over-space (“학 교 에”). Read blocks, then learn the particle as a tail, not a separate English preposition.

Period . and question mark work like English. The interpunct · lists items. You do not need a space before 요.

한국어를 공부해요.
hangugeoreul gongbuhaeyo.
I study Korean.
뭐 먹을까요?
mwo meogeulkkayo?
What should we eat?
