Read a receipt, a ticket date, and 만 원 without guessing the zeros.
Dates
Native Korean numbers for hours, Sino-Korean for dates and money. 팔 월 이십구 일 is August 29. Years are Sino: 이천이십육 년. Tickets print digits; say them in Sino-Korean.
Won
원 is the unit. 만 is 10,000 — 삼만 원 is ₩30,000, not ₩3,000. Cards say 카드; cash is 현금. “Do you take cards?” is 카드 돼요?
