Because (아서 / 으니까)

Two “because” endings — 아서 for sequence, 으니까 for reason and commands.

Pick by what follows

아/어서 links a reason or a first action: 배가 고파서 먹어요. (으)니까 is the reason you tell someone to do something: 비가 오니까 택시 타요. Do not put a command after 아서.

바빠서 나중에 할게요.
bappaseo najunge halgeyo.
I’m busy, so I’ll do it later.
맛있으니까 드세요.
masisseunikka deuseyo.
It’s good, so please eat.
