A birthday café is usually a short rental of a café’s walls and a drink special — not an official company event. Decorations come down in a few days. The idol will not walk in.

What you will see

• Photo walls, printed banners, and a table of letters. Do not take other people’s letters home.
• A limited dessert. If it sells out, the café still needs you to order something else or leave the seat.
• Cup sleeves and small freebies while they last.
