How Carbomer works 카보머
Carbomer is a cross-linked acrylic polymer that stays coiled in acid conditions and uncoils when neutralised, trapping water between its chains and turning a thin liquid into a gel. That structure also suspends oils, pigments and powders so they do not separate on the shelf. Everything it does happens inside the packaging; on skin it simply forms a thin film that washes away. Different carbomer grades flow differently, which is why one gel toner pours and another holds a peak — a decision made long before anyone chose the actives.
