PDRN (Salmon DNA): what the evidence says
The claim: Topical salmon-DNA PDRN firms skin for a glass-skin bounce like the injectable.
Emerging evidence
What the research actually shows
Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) is a fragmented-DNA active, often salmon-derived, that has clinical literature mainly in injectable and wound-healing contexts. As a topical cosmetic it is a 2025-2026 trend ingredient where the evidence is genuinely emerging: penetration of large DNA fragments through intact skin is uncertain, and topical results should not be equated with the studied injectable or procedural forms. It can act as a hydrating, conditioning ingredient that supports a smoother, firmer-looking surface, but firming claims remain unproven for leave-on cosmetics.
