✈️ Incheon Airport, first hour
ICN is large but signed in English. Do immigration → bags → customs → arrivals hall. Then SIM, cash/card, and a ride into Seoul.
Know your terminal. T1 and T2 are separate. The airport railroad and buses serve both; follow “AREX” or “City Bus” in gold/blue signs. Wrong terminal = 20 extra minutes.
K-ETA / visa already done. Have the QR or passport bio page ready. If you skipped K-ETA when required, you can be denied boarding — not just delayed.
Buy data at the arrivals desks or activate your eSIM. Details on the
SIM / eSIM page.
AREX express to Seoul Station is the fastest rail option (~43–55 min). All-stop AREX is cheaper and hits Hongdae. Tickets from the orange machines; cards usually work.
Airport bus if your hotel is far from a station (many Gangnam / Jamsil hotels). Buses take 70–90 min with traffic. Taxi is metered; Kakao T needs data first.
T-money once you are in the city, or at airport convenience stores. See
T-money how-to.
Gimpo (GMP) is a different, closer airport — mostly domestic and Japan/China hops. Do not mix up ICN and GMP on your transfer.
