Nami Island

남이섬 is a half-moon shaped island in the North Han River, 63km northeast of Seoul — famous for its meticulously maintained tree-lined avenues that turn spectacular in every season. Made globally famous by the 2002 K-drama "Winter Sonata," it welcomes over 3 million visitors per year from 180+ countries.

How to Experience Nami Island

1. Take ITX-Cheongchun train from Seoul Cheongnyangni to Gapyeong Station (1hr 10min, ₩5,100).
2. From Gapyeong Station, taxi or shuttle bus (8 min) to the Nami Island ferry terminal.
3. Buy ferry ticket (₩12,000 round trip, includes island entry) at the terminal.
4. Explore on foot (circumference ~5km) or rent a bicycle (₩5,000/hour).
5. Combine with Petite France (쁘띠프랑스) and Garden of Morning Calm for a full day trip.
