Packing Korean skincare for Seoul humidity versus a dry winter 습도 vs 겨울
The same Korean routine changes texture with the season: summer humidity wants gels, light sunscreens and oil control; Korean winter heating wants cream, a richer cleanse, and lips that are not an afterthought. Pack by climate, not by how many viral products fit in a pouch. You still only need one cleanser, one hydrator, one moisturiser, one SPF — swap the moisturiser and SPF textures.
Humid months
Gel cream, fluid or stick sunscreen, optional blotting papers, a light essence. Heavy sleeping packs feel like a coat. If you run combination, take the gel and add cream only if hotel air-con dries you out at night.
Cold, dry, heated indoors
Cream cleanser or balm if your usual foam stings, a hydrating toner you can layer, ceramide cream, lip balm, and SPF that is not so drying it flakes. Indoor heating is often drier than the street. A tiny occlusive for night is more useful than a second serum.
What not to duplicate
Two vitamin C serums and no moisturiser is a frequent packing error. Actives you already use can travel in a 30 ml decant; new actives should not debut on holiday. Sunscreen is the one full-size you should not under-pack if you will be outdoors.
Seoul is not one climate
Late summer humidity and January cold are different packing lists. If your trip spans a weather swing, pack the lighter moisturiser and a small cream, not two complete shelves.
