Octocrylene in winter: how to adjust
Using Octocrylene in winter: the season brings cold air, indoor heating and moisture loss, so what changes is texture, frequency and what you layer around it — not usually whether you use it at all.
Rarely the star of a sunscreen and usually the reason the rest of it survives daylight. Octocrylene is a UVB filter that also props up avobenzone, the classic UVA filter that falls apart in sun without help. Korea, the EU and the US all permit it up to 10%. It is oily, so high levels are a texture trade-off.

Cold air and indoor heating strip moisture, so layer hydrating toners and essences under a richer cream or occlusive.
How that changes Octocrylene
Winter is when barrier support outranks everything. Actives that were comfortable in August frequently are not in January. Octocrylene works on sun damage & photoageing, and it is normally applied AM.
