A combined body wash and shampoo from Pyunkang Yul's ATO line, formulated for atopy-prone skin and low-lathering by design. Korean atopy-branded washes avoid the aggressive surfactants that make conventional shower gels feel squeaky, on the reasoning that the shower is where a lot of dryness is manufactured in the first place. Fragrance-free, mild, and intended for the whole family including the 두피 (dupi), the scalp.
Who it suits
Dry, tight, itchy-feeling skin that gets worse after showering, and households that want one bottle for everyone. It suits children's skin, again with a clinician's input if there is a diagnosis. People with oily scalps or heavy styling-product use will find it does not clean thoroughly enough, and anyone with a diagnosed scalp condition needs a medicated shampoo, not this.
How to use it
Use in a short, warm — not hot — shower. Work a small amount into wet hair at the scalp and let the run-off do the body, or apply directly to dry-feeling areas. Rinse well and pat dry, then moisturise within a few minutes while skin is still damp. That last step is where most of the benefit actually comes from.
