Innisfree Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam 화산송이 모공 클렌징 폼
Part of Innisfree's long-running Jeju volcanic range, built on 화산송이 (hwasansongi), the porous volcanic clay from the island that the brand has used since the line launched. The cleanser combines that clay with a foaming base, producing a brisk lather and a distinctly matte finish. It is one of the oldest surviving products in international K-beauty and remains the default recommendation for very oily skin in Korean drugstores.
Who it suits
Genuinely oily skin — the sort that is shining by lunchtime — and combination skin that needs a firmer hand on the T-zone in summer. It suits congestion-prone skin as an evening second cleanse. Dry, sensitive or dehydrated skin should avoid it outright; the matte finish that oily skin enjoys is the same thing dry skin experiences as tightness.
How to use it
Lather a small amount in wet hands and massage over damp skin for about thirty seconds, concentrating on the T-zone rather than the cheeks, then rinse lukewarm. Evening after an oil cleanser. Once daily unless your skin is very oily. Follow with a lightweight moisturiser — skipping it because you feel matte is a mistake.
