The cleanser from Etude's 순정 (SoonJung) line, which the brand built specifically around minimal-ingredient formulas for reactive skin. Panthenol and madecassoside are the named soothing components, and the pH is set close to skin's own. The whip in the name refers to the texture: it emerges as a soft cream and works into a very low, dense foam rather than a squeaky lather. Widely available and cheap.

Sensitive, easily flushed and over-exfoliated skin that reacts to almost everything else. It is one of the safest cleansers to recommend blind, and a sensible morning wash for dry skin. Oily and congested skin can use it but will likely find it too mild to feel like it has done anything, which is a perception problem more than a performance one.
How to use it
A small amount on damp skin, massaged for twenty to thirty seconds and rinsed lukewarm. Morning and evening. At night, use an oil or balm first if you have worn makeup or a real layer of sunscreen; this is not designed to shift either on its own. Follow immediately with toner or moisturiser.
