Ethylhexyl Salicylate (Octisalate) for normal skin

⏱ 1 min read
Quick answer: Does Ethylhexyl Salicylate (Octisalate) suit normal skin? Absorbs UVB and dissolves other filters into a smooth base. What it does for normal skin, when to use it (AM), and how to work it into a Korean routine.

Is Ethylhexyl Salicylate (Octisalate) good for normal skin?

One of the mildest organic filters in common use, capped at 5% in most markets, and almost never working alone. Like homosalate it is partly a solvent: it keeps a filter blend liquid and spreadable. Despite the name it is not salicylic acid and does not exfoliate — a confusion worth clearing up on sight.

Why it suits normal skin

💡 How to use: AM · patch-test and introduce gradually.
