Kaolin Clay for oily skin
⏱ 1 min read
⚡ Quick answer: Does Kaolin Clay suit oily skin? Absorbs surface oil without the tightness of stronger clays. What it does for oily skin, when to use it (PM), and how to work it into a Korean routine.
Is Kaolin Clay good for oily skin?
The gentlest of the common cosmetic clays, and the one Korean wash-off masks lean on when they want oil control without a stripped face. Kaolin soaks up sebum sitting on the surface. It does not reach into a pore, dissolve a blackhead or shrink anything — those are jobs for a BHA, if they are jobs at all.
Why it suits oily skin
- Absorbs surface oil without the tightness of stronger clays
- Gives wash-off masks their body and mattifying finish
💡 How to use: PM · patch-test and introduce gradually.
