How Willow Bark Extract works 버드나무껍질
Willow bark contains salicin, a glycoside that the human liver converts to salicylic acid when the bark is swallowed. Skin does not perform that conversion in any meaningful quantity, and the salicin content of a cosmetic extract is low and variable to begin with. What willow bark does deliver is tannins and polyphenols with mild astringent and antioxidant character, which is a perfectly respectable but entirely different job from exfoliation. Some products pair the two anyway, listing willow bark for the story and salicylic acid for the work.

How long does Korean skincare take to work?
Most skincare, Korean or otherwise, needs time. Hydration benefits can appear quickly, but visible changes in tone, texture or fine lines typically take several weeks to a few months of consistent use, roughly one skin cycle or more. Sun protection and patience matter more than any single product.
Does Korean skincare work for deeper skin tones?
The skincare does — hydration, barrier support and soothing actives are not tone-specific. The friction points are mineral sunscreens that leave a cast and a colour-cosmetics shade range that has historically been narrow.
