How Nuruk (Aspergillus) Ferment works 누룩발효물
Nuruk is a traditional Korean fermentation starter in which moulds and yeasts break down grain. The resulting filtrate carries amino acids, peptides, mild organic acids and sugars — much the same profile as other grain ferments used in Korean and Japanese skincare. These act as humectants and gentle conditioning agents. The historical link to brewers' hands is folklore, and it has never been tested in the way a cosmetic claim would need.
