How Disodium EDTA works 디소듐 EDTA
Disodium EDTA is a chelator: its structure wraps around metal ions such as iron and copper and holds them inactive. Those trace metals arrive with water, raw materials and packaging, and they catalyse the reactions that oxidise antioxidants, discolour formulas and break down preservatives. Removing them from play extends how long a product performs as intended. It also improves how well surfactants foam in hard water. The tetrasodium version does the same job at a higher pH, so which one a formulator reaches for depends on where the finished product sits on the scale.
