How much Allantoin actually works? Here's the dosage, pH and evidence — the formulator-level read behind the % on a Korean label.

Effective %0.1–2% (2% is a common regulatory ceiling)
Optimal pH4.0–8.0
EvidenceModerate

What the % on the label really means

You will almost never see a percentage claimed for allantoin, and you do not need one — it works at the low levels everyone uses.

⚠️ Ceiling: It dissolves in water only to about 0.5% at room temperature, so most formulas sit at or below that. Higher levels have to be dispersed rather than dissolved, and will crystallise back out if they are not.
